My Ukulele – BJ’s Shadorma & Beyond – Monotetra

What is a Monotetra you ask:

A poetic form developed by Michael Walker which contains four lines in monorhyme. Each line is in tetrameter (four metrical feet) for a total of eight syllables. Lines 1 through 3 have 8 syllables and The last line contains two metrical feet, repeated. It can have one stanza or many stanzas.

I just bought my ukulele
It’s part of my shopping spree
It’s sure to make the house cheery
I’ll play jolly! I’ll play jolly!

I tried to play but I just can’t
Might as well water the houseplant
Skill’s not there however I rant
I can’t even chant! I can’t even chant!

What I needed is more practice
Even though I think I’m artless
Got to have coolness and boldness
What’s the fuss! What’s the fuss!
