Lynne visited her friend Judy in San Francisco. Judy had to work that day so Lynne entertained herself by going to town. She took the cable car. Lots of passengers were on the cable car and someone accidentally stepped on her toes.
“Ooops, sorry, Miss,” the man said apologetically, standing next to her.
“That’s OK,” she answered reassuringly.
That got them talking and Lynne found out that Graeme was also a tourist in the city and his way of getting to know the city was through riding a cable car, too. They got on well and laughed at some of the jokes. They even decided to tour the city together. So they stayed until the end of the line and agreed to meet the next day.

That sounds like a lot of fun, meeting someone and becoming friends to tour the city together. These days we have to be so careful, but not in our fiction!

Thanks, PJ, yes, we’ve got to be careful…but, there’s always romance in our fiction!

I love the easy-go nature of the story, if only reality was like this. 🙂

What a lovely way yo meet someone to share a day sightseeing. It would prevent them both from feeling lonely in a strange city. 🙂
