In the dead of the night
One can see from its height
Blackbird flaps its wings
It’s been hurt among other things
Its eyes flicker, free, as if to say
When it was hurt, it was an easy prey
Moment to see the light at the end of a tunnel
Time to move on, enough always in a baffle
Arise from a broken life and make it happen
Be brave, it happens only through its own action
As its wings flap downward, feathers mesh together
Finally helping it to fly high and got its own armour

Beautifully written LadyLee! Anything with blackbirds (ravens!) in it peaks my interest!

I wasn’t quite sure what to make of this… nothing to do with the “Picture it and Write!” link at all. The poem is cute, but you should probably at least give Sir Paul McCartney some direct credit, don’t you think?

Oh, Anne 🙂 I wasn’t thinking of anything when I did this, I just wanted to use the words from wordle. And I thought with picture it and write, you could have any picture as long as you write something about it. Sorry if I misunderstood and sorry if it’s similar to Paul McCartney’s song. I’ve just looked at his lyrics now…

Hey, if the wordle was built from his song and you just wrote to it without knowing, then that’s great!

I love to read about blackbirds! They remind me of cornfields with scarecrows in the middle of the field, meant to scare the crows away, but it doesn’t always work. 🙂
