In the far-flung part of the world
We had to cross the seas and lands
We had to endure the storms coming
You were there, so far away, unreachable
Hard to communicate, different opinions
Displeased one another even not purposefully
Caused pain in the heart and soul, crushed
Over the mountains, through seven seas
Endured the pain, winter, spring, autumn
Summer came, was there a flicker of hope?
Did we overcome the hurdles, the storm?
We should know when we ran out of excuses
When the flames died down and a white flag was up
We had to accept… at last we were free

I would like to thank marjma2014 https://kyrosmagica.wordpress.com for nominating me to take part in a photography/writing challenge.

Now for the rules of the challenge:

‘Post a photo each day for five consecutive days, and tell a story about each photo. The story can be truth or fiction, poetry or prose. Each day one must also nominate a fellow blogger to participate in the challenge.’

Today I would like to nominate Phylor https://phylor.wordpress.com/2015/06/29/detective-of-love/
I hope you might like to join in this challenge and I look forward to seeing your post if you do. Otherwise, it’s also OK to say no. Have a nice day 🙂

  1. Thank you for the nomination. I’ll compromise on this. I’ll do the challenge without daily nominations. I’ve enjoyed your 5 day challenges. This last one is especially haunting.
