Just Jot It January 5th – 2016

2016 is a year of travel, love and marriage for us. We’re celebrating our 30 years wedding anniversary, HRH the son and his beautiful K are getting married and we’re travelling a lot. It’s also a year of trying to be fit and healthy.

Our cross trainer has just arrived yesterday and it was hard work carrying all the different parts to the attic. We managed it though, after some rests and a lot of mess- with all the polystyrene packaging and plastic, plus a big box. Him Indoors assembled it and we started using it last night. Wish us good luck, we promise to use it while watching telly. Also, we decided to cut our drinking and eat healthily. Well, there’s a good reason to look nice on the wedding.

In February, we’re off to the Philippines, Singapore and Cambodia. I’ll fly to the Philippines first and take my mother and aunt to Hong Kong. Then after 10 days, Him Indoors follows. We’re going to the beautiful island of Coron in Palawan, then stay some days in Manila to see friends and relatives. We’re flying to Singapore and visit Him Indoors’ brother and family, then off to Cambodia to see Angkor Wat. That’s our 30 years wedding anniversary celebration.

Come May, HRH the son and his beautiful K are getting married in the UK. The son will be 24 and K – 23, son has finished his Masters and K will finish hers in June. Families from Canada, Ireland and Philippines are coming, as well as friends from the UK and Germany. There will be 200 guests. Looking forward to it.

Then, in August, their Indian wedding/reception in the south. K’s family will be there, as well as us, and Him Indoors’ brothers and their families. They will do some sort of ceremony, like going around a fire in the temple and a big reception afterwards. There will be 300 guests. After that, we’re touring the south of India.
Here’s hoping that everyone will have a fantastic 2016!

  1. What a wonderful 2016 you have planned, LadyLee! Congrats on the 30 year anniversary and such a wonderful place to celebrate it – Angkor Wat! I’ve always wanted to visit there. Enjoy the year, and take lots of photos to share with us here!
