Cliffs

“Don’t turn on the computer,” she told herself
But she pressed the button anyway
How she wish she could rip this habit
Of being up at six just to blog and post
To check her emails and what’s going on
On all the social media while she has a drink
And instead of cleaning the kitchen or chimney
She’s still there, playing bingo hoping her fortune’s now
She’s whistling to the tune of her favourite show
Climbing up the cliff of the new challenge
Drilling herself to the new online game
Let’s face it, she’s also into online gambling
And as she drinks from her porcelain cup
She knew she reached the bottom of the pit
She has to stop turning the computer on
Live a life and stop being in the virtual world
