Bouts-Rimés Revisited; Meeting the Bar

I’d like him to stay
He sees the ramp and sits
He’s my match and we play
Somehow I’m getting out of my wits
He’s the last piece that fits
Or the side-kick in a comedy
The idea through his mind flits
Not like Romeo and Juliet’s tragedy
I believe in us and I can see with my eye
Have our own law, that’s pretty smart
Just don’t cross me, else I’d cry
Might as well chop my heart
I droned on but he knows what I mean
We’ll take a hike and pick up a stone
