Seasons – London Calling

Hello everyone! I went to London with Him Indoors, my sister and her husband. There we met our friends from Munich. We stayed near Trafalgar Square so we could walk everywhere. And boy, we walked! We walked to the Big Ben, 10 Downing Street, Piccadilly Circus, Covent Garden. We met our friends in Soho to have our Chinese meal.

We walked through Green Park to reach Buckingham Palace. There was a cavalry parade.

We took our time looking at some painting at the National Gallery Museum.

We went to Imperial War Museum and saw the story of those whose lives have been shaped by war from the First World War to the present day.

We took a barge from Embankment to Greenwich. We saw the Tower of London, the Shard, Parliament, Millennium Bridge and other places of interest.

We went to the National Maritime Museum – the world’s largest maritime museum with 10 free galleries and a vast collection that spans artworks, maps and charts, memorabilia and thousands of other objects. The uniform of General Nelson with a bullethole was there.

  6. Looks like you spent your time quite productively! London is a great town and walking is a great way to take in some of it… The grey skies are a perfect backdrop for these shots.

  8. Love your pictures! I think my favorite part was you standing on the Prime Meridian. I have a story about my son and the Continental Divide that I really need to blog.

  11. Many thanks for sharing your London experience with SEASONS! Great photos!
    Visiting capital cities are fun because in most so much history is to be found. The day that we went to London (staying with friend in S. of the UK), we went the the Tube and stayed close to the Tate, since that museum was first on my list to see. One day is waaayyy too short! Have a great week and looking forward to your next week’s photo:)

  13. Sounds like a wonderful time. I have always wanted to see London, England. Those museums sound so fascinating. I am curious about anything war related and London sure seems like the place to be for that kind of a history lesson. Wow. Thanks for sharing, as this will have to do, until I can get there too.

  16. OMG what do you reckon we might have been watching those horses at the same time – not my Seasons post the one before, looks like we have very similar photos? I can tell you, you went for it in London more than we did, what an impressive itinerary!
