Melody – Daily Prompt

life rich in music
night to remember with glee
the sweet serenade

my fingers string well
with music so smooth it flows
melody of heart

(c) ladyleemanila 2016

ballad over a xylophone
striking a row of wooden bars
like the sound of stringed sitar
he sang in a rich baritone

just like his heart
his voice rich and meaty
singing to his dear
who’s all ears to him
on this serenade
such joy to watch

the xylophone’s sweet melody
with the trombone and tambourine
appreciating music with grin
a night to remember with glee

as we walk
by the silvery moon
we held hands
ah! this is life
rich in music
rich in love

ang kapangyarihan ng pag-ibig
ikaw at ako magpakailanman*

* The power of love
you and me forever

(c) ladyleemanila 2016

By the light of the silvery moon
I sing my heart to you, my dear
I don’t just sing, I swoon and croon
As I look at the lovely chandelier

I wait here in the lobby, by the chandelier
Until dawn, when Mother Nature smiles
You’re worth a million times, with a cheer
Pursuing your affection and smile

Melody from the heart, eloquence so soft
I seek the haze of my soul and affection
Ah, there you are, as my hat was doffed
Such loving bliss, as I put in your caption

  1. You reminded me of this jam I went to where we were all playing stringed instrument, but the host had this glockenspiel that she would pull out (I think it was to let less musical guest pretend like they were doing their part). Well, this one guy hopped on it one time, and afterword we were all like, “Damn! We don’t know that thing could actually sound that good”
