Between the lines

sometimes I think I don’t really know you
times like that make me feel frustrated
sublimes we could be but we couldn’t get through
lifetimes we’re aiming if we could be blessed

reading you between the lines is quite hard
and then I should always be on guard
asking whether I got it right with that regard
hand in hand we should be to get our reward*

* Cross Lento: The cross Lento has been introduced in 2012. The cross lento was introduced to make Lento writing more fun. However, a cross lento is applicable only in cases of double, triple and lento chains, where the rhyme schemes in alternate quatrains are reversed, as seen in the following example:

a——b
a——c
a——b
a——c

d——f
e——f
d——f
e——f

Rosema and Sarah have invited all to their November writing challenge, “November Notes”, based on songs. Today is Day 4, so click their links to learn more and join in the FUN!
