Is it the end of life as we know it?
When perversity wins and we accept?
When equality loses and we bow?
And the king of the throne is such a twit?
The response was somewhat a tat for tit
Make the most of it or see how it goes
Frustrating perhaps but give it a chance
We’re all in it together, so don’t quit
We let it happen, we have to admit
Let’s not lose hope, we have to keep trying
There’s always light at the end of tunnel
In the end, it’s all for our benefit

For: November 9: Flash Fiction Challenge, Tale Weaver # 93 – November 10 – Never Give Up
An enjoyable poem for a wretched excuse of a human being.
I wish he would end up in the dust bin of history, along with the convoluted system that is the Electoral college.

I like the light of hope you offer as a reminder that we are all in this together. A good ending/beginning.

Yes it says it all. Hopefully it is not the ending at the beginning but rather the ending at the end.

There is a reason for the Electoral College vote and that is to even out the unfair advantage of the popular vote – so says someone who is more in tune with politics than I… That being said. We, as a people in the states still have a strong voice. One person, one leader still cannot make some choices without much consideration and does not really have all the power that others think. Looking for the light… and thankful for the benefit of free speech.
