So let them fall

so let them fall, tears can come and go, so
let them be and some things we cannot let
we fall in love and then get hurt as we
learn some lessons and we just have to learn

keep on living as memories we keep
acquire some skills, doesn’t hurt to acquire
sun rises and sets, every day the sun
life goes on and it’s so wonderful, life

flowers blooming, appreciate them, flowers
rainbow after the rain, see the rainbow
dance by the light of the moonlight, let’s dance
together we see the world, together

let them fall, tears can come and go, so let
life goes on and it’s so wonderful, life*

* The Shadow Sonnet was created by Amera M. Andersen, may be written in any sonnet style. The Shadow takes place at the beginning and ending of each line as the words are identical or homophonic. Since all poetry was originally meant to be sung or recited out loud, homophonic words are acceptable, these are words that sound alike such as “see and sea”. (Rules: 14 lines, 9 or 10 syllables per line. The poem should have a volta or pivit; iambic pentameter is not necessary.)

Written for November Notes hosted by two lovely and awesome writers, Rosema of A Reading Writer and Sarah of Heartstring Eulogies. Come, join the musical fun!😀
