Happy Thought – My #100WordWisdom

Happy Thought
by Robert Louis Stevenson

The world is so full of a number of things,
I’m sure we should all be as happy as kings.

I am as happy as a person who has all the reasons in the world to be happy. Or I can be happy if I choose to be happy, even though there are not a lot of reasons to be happy.

I choose to be happy, that is the challenge.

Just think of positive and happy thoughts. For we can be the master of our thoughts.

Look at the nature around us, a lot of reasons to be happy about. The bird singing, building their nests, bees making honey, babies cooing, a friendly smile, a helping hand, etc.

Be happy.

Letting Go – #100WordWisdom

Letting go is not always easy.

Letting go of the pain, when he no longer cared. Accept the situation.

Letting go of the offspring, when he wanted to fly on his own. It’s for his own good and yours, too.

Letting go of the past, they will never come back. Accept. Concentrate on the now and the future.

What was right for you then is not necessarily right for you now. Sometimes the hardest part isn’t letting go but rather realising that you have changed, and then learning to start over with your new truth.

Let go and move on.

Courage – #100WordWisdom

The word for today is courage.

Courage as in defending what you think is important in your life. Like the mother swan in the lake protecting her children. No one would dare challenged her. She’s one tough mother!

Courage as in trying something you haven’t done before. Going out of your comfort zone.

Courage as in standing up for something that’s significant for you, i.e. your principles, belief, your family, friends. You don’t have to have the same opinion as the others. You are unique, one in a million and you should be proud of that.
