colours

A faint rainbow up the sky
Sky from light blue to greyish blue

Blue I feel when you’re not with me
Me and you, I say with a plea

Plea that we will endure this isolation
Isolation from the rest of the world
World in this flat horizon, not one soul
Soul, heart and spirit, they are one

One tower, some houses by the cliff
Cliff high, I cover my head with a kerchief

Kerchief over my head tied under my chin
Chin moves when I see you and grin

Grin we will and make the most of it
It will only get better, let’s hope
Hope for a better and brighter future
Future beckons, now is the time to deliver

Deliver us from the nightmares of ennui
Ennui, perhaps not when I’m with thee

Thee or thou, hopefully love will last
Last longer and everything is a blast*

dark-dawn

sun peeks through violet sky
we look at it and wonder why
it looks so peaceful we can fly
against the velvety sky stood in shadow the skyline
indigo clouds cover up the first stars that might shine
the chill of twilight and a promise of a night divine
trees on the sides that go bold
faded highway that lay cold
all was dark as we strolled
we’re on our way home
world so monochrome
and we say shalom
till we meet again
it was nice to ken
time to say amen*

Inner Moonlight

red-moon-011

Follow your inner moonlight
Things you do is such an excite
Don’t hide the madness
That’s you and what’s the fuss?

You are the soul of the universe
Take a hint from the verse
Fresh and lingering as the new day
The colourful chameleon that’s not grey

It tends to change its colour as it sees fit
It’s stress-free just like changing an outfit
Fine range of drinks for urbane palates
Good quality wine like gold with 24 carats

Spend some time in the sun till toasty brown
Life is good, go and have some fun uptown
Mix with the cool people of different sex
You can assess them, don’t even need specs

The subtleness of pastel colour suits you
You charm them, men are always in a queue
Reading classic fantasy yields rich imagination
Create your own wonderland and have some fun

From the bridge comes the reflection

lights

From the bridge comes the reflection
Artificial lights and tall trees
Snow on the ground and on branches
The air cools and the crickets sing

Will he be there waiting for me?
From the bridge comes the reflection
Will he be glad to see me back?
Life’s strange but I know I’m back

I’ve been through a lot of journeys
Went through all the seasons of life
From the bridge comes the reflection
But I know I’m coming back home

The lights dance, too by the canal
Welcoming me in open arms
I’ve learned my lessons, hope’s not late
From the bridge comes the reflection*

Thursday photo prompt – Gate – #writephoto

gate

This used to be our garden
We ran, spun and had fun
The old oak tree by the fence
We were loud and had some pun

We were brash and made pretence
Quite rambunctious, no offense
Running till we were breathless
Between us, we had sixpence

This gate used to creak, no fuss
Playing hide and seek with us
Outside until we were tanned
The world was vast, was bonus

This used to be our dreamland
Played everywhere and the sand
We grew up fast, world expand
This was our gate, always grand*

Thursday photo prompt – broken #writephoto – The Quest

broken

It was a story of strength
A quest to an ancient ground
Where the spirit of darkness lived
A dragon guarded the treasure
Defiant resistance to the game
The sparks of amethyst laid
In front of the hearth
And so was Prinsesa Mayumi
Waited for her knight
Few men and knights tried
But to no avail, dragon won
From steely blue skies
A white charged horse
Descended from the clouds
Prinsipe Makisig to the rescue
And so he slayed the dragon
Saved the princess and they kissed
Took all the amethyst and treasure
And they wed to the delights of all

That was the tale of the ruin
