Who will you make peace with?
Is it wrong to search my soul?
So I know what indeed is my role
When I wonder deep down its meaning
And forgiveness I am begging
When I pushed the cobwebs of lies
And each one has his lows and highs
Is it wrong to find atonement?
When there was a creepy silent?
For all who I’ve offended
Out with the truth blurted
For all who are suffering
And the tension it brings
For all who are in pain
Like being in chains
What’s clear is I want peace
All misgivings to decrease
The first time we had a peek on the chateau, we fell in love with it. OK, it required a lot of renovation but we didn’t mind that. The floorboard can be stripped, sanded and polished, the windows can be double-glazed and the roof tiles can be changed. We can remodel the garden and create a new parking space. It would be a labour of love for our retirement. We’ve always wanted to retire to the country and this could be ideal. We have a meeting with the owner next week and hopefully they accept our offer.

Five days into the new year and her New Year’s Resolutions already seemed doomed. No alcohol, no smoking, eat healthily, be fit – these are some of her Resolutions. But it was Ginny’s birthday yesterday, so they had to celebrate! And what better way to bring cheers to the celebrant with a bottle of Champagne. And of course, she cannot say no because she’s Ginny’s best mate. Oh well, there’s always the next day, or the day after the next and the promise, one more time and that was it, really …this time next year… she’ll be really good with her New Year’s Resolution.
The crumpled paper and tinsel meant that all presents were given and opened, greetings and thanks were said, the waiting and the excitement really happened. They also meant that another Christmas has come and gone, that we all celebrated it in different ways, usually with our loved ones. Having said that, we should also think of others who celebrated it by themselves, or who cannot celebrate it for some reason or another. That we should be thankful for all our blessing, the good and the bad things that happened to us, and hopefully learning our lessons in life. Cheers everyone!
In the far-flung part of the world
We had to cross the seas and lands
We had to endure the storms coming
You were there, so far away, unreachable
Hard to communicate, different opinions
Displeased one another even not purposefully
Caused pain in the heart and soul, crushed
Over the mountains, through seven seas
Endured the pain, winter, spring, autumn
Summer came, was there a flicker of hope?
Did we overcome the hurdles, the storm?
We should know when we ran out of excuses
When the flames died down and a white flag was up
We had to accept… at last we were free…
‘Post a photo each day for five consecutive days, and tell a story about each photo. The story can be truth or fiction, poetry or prose. Each day one must also nominate a fellow blogger to participate in the challenge.’
When I was thirteen, I didn’t have the slightest inkling what life was about. I enjoyed watching the poppies and blue bells in the garden, listened to some audible stories and music which were quite strange for my parents, let alone the rest of my roots. I didn’t want to be seen as frivolous, so I repressed my good humour and pretended to be the literary or serious type. Speedy as it seems and without the apocalyptic imagery in my mind – as time passes – I am writing my epilogue to the rest of my life.
Courage as in defending what you think is important in your life. Like the mother swan in the lake protecting her children. No one would dare challenged her. She’s one tough mother!
Courage as in trying something you haven’t done before. Going out of your comfort zone.
Courage as in standing up for something that’s significant for you, i.e. your principles, belief, your family, friends. You don’t have to have the same opinion as the others. You are unique, one in a million and you should be proud of that.
We may be miles apart
From a land so far away
But your spirit is here
I can feel the heat of your spell
Scorching my skin
Your words in my mind
Warm breeze whispered
Through the chimes
I cry out wordlessly in pain
Maybe it’s a sign to move on
This point might seem trite
But the aim is… …please let me sleep…
