The girl on the train looked out
I’m mad about the boy, she sighed
The little prince, need to know more on him
I need help so she asked the rogue lawyer

On writing well, Don Vicente from the firm
He followed the boy till dusk
Found out the missing piece
He’s the third twin of the West End Girls
One the ice-cream queen of Orchard Street
The other one was the funny girl

The boy, who no other than the alchemist
Quite a profession she was impressed
And so the love story began
Never let me go, she urged him
As you like it, he answered

Of all the places in the world, my favourite is my home. Where is home? Home is where Him Indoors, I and HRH the son live. It’s full of love, affection and fun. Ideally it is here in Bavaria, but it could also be anywhere. OK, HRH the son has left us but he still comes back from time to time, and he comes back with his beautiful K.

home is happy
home is cosy
home is warm
home doesn’t regret
home doesn’t mind sharing
home grows with love

it doesn’t matter
where or what is home
home is with Him Indoors
and HRH the son
our three tortoises
our flowers in the grden
things we share
experience and memories
I love our home!

Him Indoors and I
HRH the son and K
happy together

in the garden
Gin, Rex, Nik – our tortoises
eating lettuces

flowers, herbs and trees
butterflies, hedgehogs and birds
garden full of fun

he loves gardening
I love writing and cooking
we love cycling, too

My favourite meal is adobo and rice. It’s basically any meat (chicken or pork) marinated with vinegar, soy sauce and garlic. The secret is to cook it slowly. And with steaming rice, it’s perfect! I also like pancit (noodles for long life!) which we usually have to celebrate our birthdays or any occasion. Anything grilled is also fine, as well as any fish or seafood. For dessert, I like leche flan, which is like creme caramel, and also bibingka (rice cake). I also like making our own pizza with all our favourite ingredients on top. Anyway, I’m looking forward to my coming trip to the Philippines so I can eat all my favourite food! cheers!

Book Characters

What can I do when a day is 48 hours long?
Is the time fast or slow? I’ll probably get the bong
And can go anywhere and whatever time I want
All I feel like doing now is eating frozen currants
Adventure is what I want, adventure is what I get
All these hundreds of things, easy enough to forget
I’d like to be in Jane Austen’s book meeting Mr. Darcy
I can be choosy, why not, my lord…my lord… my lady
Or in one of the fairy tale stories changing endings
Giving my springs, stings and zings to our darlings
Like Elsa and Anna in Frozen, who are strong characters
They have happy ending without their Prince Charming lovers
Unlike the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland, who’s always late
I’m always on time with 10 minutes to spare for my date
I’ll enjoy this time travelling going from one place to another
The experience will make me appreciate life deeper and better

Share Your World – 2016 Week 26

What’s your most memorable (good or bad) airplane flight?
When I was pregnant with HRH the son, we flew from Munich to Birmingham. I didn’t know I was pregnant that time, but we experienced a really bad turbulence and I was sick. That was horrible! And as for one of the best, the first time we flew in an Airbus A380, business class, from Munich to Dubai to Manila, which was brilliant! We went to the bar at the back and the stewardess was so friendly, she let me make my own cocktail! That was cool!

How many bones, if any, have you broken?
Thankfully, none!

If you had your own talk show, who would your first three guests be? (guest can be dead, alive, famous or someone you just know)
Him Indoors – he’s so brilliant with his dry English humour, my Mum – with all her experience as a Probation Officer in the Philippines and how she takes life gracefully and HRH the son – our pride and joy, the only son, about his marriage to his beautiful bride, his finishing his Masters and their plans for the future.

Make a Currently List: What are you reading, watching, listening to, eating, needing, wanting, and missing right now?
I’ve just finished the third book of Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children, Library of Souls, watching England’s football game (hope they win!), listening to some classical music in the background, just ate our dinner (king prawns with peppers), I don’t need anything at the moment and I’m missing HRH the son, of course!

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Still a bit sad and angry at the result of the UK referendum. I hope we’ll be able to move on with this, work towards the betterment of the country and know what’s going to happen in the future.
We’re going to Berlin for a long weekend (Saturday to Tuesday). Looking forward to it!
Have a lovely week everyone!

My Favourite Place

photo-20160620054715745
This week’s photo prompt is provided by TJ Paris. Thank you TJ!

I love this place. It’s my favourite place when I want to be alone. There’s something about this library that makes me feel I’m in a trance. The mass of books with atlases, road maps, novels, plays, bits and pieces and news. These books are my friends and companions. They show me interesting things, talk to me and sometimes chant and rant after the first block of information. Like I need to know more, like looking for a treasure hunt, one bit of evidence at a time. And as I read them, I’m being relocated to a totally new world. Where am I again?

Library of Souls

figure in ash storm

Each one has something in them
A skill, a trait, that’s unique
We honour the souls so pure

We can read, we can admire
In a library of souls
Each one has something in them

Free the spirit, free the souls
Roaming around in this world
A skill, a trait, that’s unique

Let them remain untainted
Don’t give in to evil deeds
We honour the souls so pure

Love and Saying Goodbye

door-template-instructions
(5) Words: | CHILD | TALK | HOME | TIME | PLAY |

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard,” Winnie the Pooh said that. As a child, I remembered reading about Pooh and his friends by A.A. Milne at home.  Talking of childhood memories, I remembered playing with my siblings and cousins in the street of Dapitan – hide-and-seek, cycling, patinteros and running a lot. Those were the times when we didn’t worry about things like poverty, politics, safety and other day-to-day problems. We just enjoyed playing, having lots of fun and doing our own adventures together. Then we all grew up and soon leaving our nests one by one. But one thing for sure, we’ll always be there for each other and we all know that we’re lucky to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.

TGBOL, chapter 5.0 : I am currently…

I am currently…

READING Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children by Ransom Riggs. It mixes fiction and photography in a thrilling reading experience. I have just ordered Shame by Jasvinder Sanghere – I’m planning to read that next.

RELAXING because it’s Ascension Day, a holiday here in Germany. It’s also Father’s Day.

ENJOYING THE DAY the sun is out, blossoms everywhere, birds singing and my washing’s out to dry. We might cycle to the park later on. The weather forecast for the next 3 days is good.

DRINKING water, tea and coffee all morning, just had a scrumptious brunch with Him Indoors.

BLOGGING, commenting, reading other’s posts and checking which challenge I can do.

LISTENING TO some classical music and opera while I’m blogging. Also listening to Him Indoors while he plays the piano, “I’ll be seeing you.”

LOOKING FORWARD to this long weekend as tomorrow’s a bridging day and we’ve decided to go swimming in the morning and probably go to town for lunch. Also looking forward to flying to Britain in two weeks’ time for HRH the son’s wedding to his beautiful K.
