birdcage

I long to fly in the sky
To soar up the cliffs with the others
To say goodbye as I fly high
The wind brushing my feathers
Free me from the bondage of poverty
Rift the cage so I can get out to freedom
I beg of you, please set me free
To eat some crumbs and then some
Cart me out to a world where I’m welcome
Free me from hunger as seen from my papery wings
Somehow I can prove that I’m awesome
I want to experience the world and what it brings
I’m all flesh and bones, so please give me some bread
I’m baffled – why can’t I be just like any ordinary bird?
I’d like my wings to be able to spread
I can tweet but not bark or purred
The absence of responsibilities, worries and hardship
To be able to sustain a world full of innocence and fun
I miss the nature, the water to sip
I think I’ve won if I could feel the sun
Give me love and I can understand that in any language
I long to fly in the sky and soar up the cliffs
Don’t give me anything, I’m sure I can manage
Just set me free and I’m off in a jiff

I Can Fly!

butterfly-gif-5

I dream that I am a butterfly
Typography gets me down, but lets me fly
Fluttering, floating, wandering on high
Lifting my head from between my thighs
Like a flaccid flower in a fairy dance
Birds and bees all got up and left at once
Graceful in the supple haze of the breeze
Enjoying the sun and the summer breeze
Dawn is bright and breezy on the dew
This is the mission for which it is due
Like a gem-flower waving in a wand
The clouds and the wind are in a bond
With muffled music a message is sent
As the jasmine blooms with lovely scent
Now I’m waking up and saying goodbye
It was a lovely experience being a butterfly

Fly Away

– Paulix8
– Paulix8

I long to fly in the sky
To soar up the cliffs with the others
Free me from the bondage of poverty
Rift the cage so I can get out to freedom
Cart me out to a world where I’m welcome
Free me from hunger as seen from my rickety legs
I’m all flesh and bones, so please give me some bread
I’m baffled – why can’t I be just like any ordinary child?
The absence of responsibilities, worries and hardship
To be able to sustain a world full of innocence and fun
Being able to chatter instead of stuttering in fright
Give me love and I can understand that in any language

RAVEN

Fly away, fly away
I’m always on my way
This way, that way, it doesn’t matter
What’s important is I’m basically very able
To try one thing and if it doesn’t work
I’ll try something else and do more legwork
Until I find one that works and I’m satisfied
The trial and error gives me a sense of pride
I know this attitude can get me worldwide
As well as it keeps me occupied
Always an adventure I’m after
Some questions to answer
What’s on the other side?
I’ll go and find my guide
So fly away, fly away
On such a lovely day

Somewhere Over the Rainbow

giphy

Words: rainbow, lemon, bloom, dare, fly, why

somewhere over the rainbow blue birds fly
and the blooms in our apple trees are there
unexplained things, would I dare to ask why?
lemon trees are so pretty everywhere
I’m Sagittarian, he’s a Gemini
With his shirt and tie, he’s a debonair
I dream, he dreams, forever we are one
And for us the most vital thing is fun

Leaving the Nest

My young son asks me…
by Bertolt Brecht

My young son asks me: Must I learn mathematics?
What is the use, I feel like saying. That two pieces
Of bread are more than one’s about all you’ll end up with.
My young son asks me: Must I learn French?
What is the use, I feel like saying. This State’s collapsing.
And if you just rub your belly with your hand and
Groan, you’ll be understood with little trouble.
My young son asks me: Must I learn history?
What is the use, I feel like saying. Learn to stick
Your head in the earth, and maybe you’ll still survive.

Yes, learn mathematics, I tell him.
Learn your French, learn your history!

when he was young, everything that he saw he asked WHAT
was that about, curious on things here and there, that IS
why did it happen or tell me more, about the birds and THE
bees and where did he come from and what was the USE,
of this thing and that. We tried to answer as much but I
sometimes wasn’t sure of stuff, then he started to FEEL
more and more confident, learning them by himself LIKE
how to cycle, how to ski, to play fair, to get ready SAYING,
I can do this and know what I want. Lots of things to LEARN
before he could fly the nest, and he took his time and willing TO
do his homework, his guitar, his football, his drama and STICK
to them like glue, after all, when all was said and done and YOUR
world doesn’t include us anymore, better to be ready in your HEAD
that we’re just a phone call away or in our case, we can skype IN
the weekend and you can tell us about your week and we’ll do THE
same from our side of the world and we see each other on EARTH,
time for us to get use to you not being here, that it’s just us now AND
we are so proud of you and what you have achieved and perhaps MAYBE
and indeed life is wonderful, as we are behind whatever you do and YOU’LL
appreciate more when you come back here, which is your home STILL
from the bottom of our hearts wish you the best of luck for you to SURVIVE.

RAVEN

Shoo, fly, don’t bother me,
Shoo, fly, don’t bother me,
Shoo, fly, don’t bother me,
For I belong to somebody.

I feel, I feel, I feel like a morning star,
I feel, I feel, I feel like a morning star.

Oh, shoo, fly, don’t bother me,
Shoo, fly, don’t bother me,
Shoo, fly, don’t bother me,
For I belong to somebody.

Actually, they’re not just flies, but also bees, butterflies and other insects flying around. They are in the garden and inside the house because all our doors and windows are open in this heat. So, shoo, shoo flies, don’t bother us!

We flew to Amsterdam last week and had a great time, but my friend caught a summer flu after the travel. Oh poor her! I’m sure she’ll get better soon.

We’ve got a tiny flue in the attic. I hardly noticed it, but it definitely does its job.

That’s it from me, have a nice weekend everyone 🙂
