What do you mean out?

“I think we’re lost!” my sister being cross with me for venturing out on our own. We were offered a ride by one of our friends, but I said no. We’ve been walking through this village, admiring their plants and stalks, turning right, left, in that order, like in a maze. At the end of the street, a lady was watering her plants and we asked her how to get out of here. She just looked on the ground, a bit puzzled and said, “what do you mean out, you could only stay here” and she returned to her gardening.

I’m a Vision

here_you_are_foreign_by_bubblegun_oo-d4ayzsa

I’m a vision
rambling in the wood
the world have me shun
repaying for my childhood

I’m a fountain of blood
in the shape of a girl
my life is a tragedy or a ballad
I can be your pearl when I twirl

lost at first hole
rattling in the forgotten shell
not knowing my role
coming out of your spell

stretching my wings with feathers
time to leave your sight
life might be a blur
got to be bold for my fight

don’t forget my name
I’m the branch that you break
I’m your dame in a frame
in the wilderness for your sake

Lost!

Adventurous as she was, she walked further and further from her friends. They have agreed to hike the Black Forest and other places at the weekends. Looking at all the exotic plants and trees, she didn’t noticed she’s getting lost. And that she’s moving around going back and forth and the paths crisscrossed. By the time it was getting dark, she didn’t know what to do, how to get help. She bumped into something mossy and spooky, that’s when she uttered a yelp. Only silence in that eerie place, she’s imagining a lot of different scenario. Will she be killed by bears, will she die like a saint, this is what she foreknow. She waits; such tight corner she has entered and she doesn’t seem to get out. “Help! Can anybody hear me?” she wish for someone to help her find her route.

Lost Passport

tumblr_nifk8yGqaa1sxkftdo4_400

He arrived at the airport only to discover he had lost his passport. He couldn’t believe what has just happened. He was looking forward to this trip. He looked everywhere – his suitcase, his hand luggage and his pockets, including all the papers, he rummaged through them – still no passport.

Now, when was the last time he saw his passport? Was it when he was out in the fields? You see, he’s a parole and probation officer, investigating or interviewing a lot of people. Was it when he submitted his reports? No, he doesn’t think so.

When was the last time he needed his passport? Ah, that glorious summer with Samantha. They went to Santorini, what a majestic place! They had a lovely week, just looking at the view. They climbed up and down the hills, ate some delicious Greek food, mostly seafood. It was like being in heaven.

Anyway, back to the airport. He had no choice but to cancel his flight and go back home. He had to search his house for that passport and if he still cannot find it, he has to report its lost. All the paperwork and phoning he has to do. He wasn’t looking forward to it.

Wounded and In Tears

138-01-january-10th-2016

THIS WEEK’S WORDS come from “I’ll Take a Bullet for You” by Juan Felipe Herrera: bullet, heard, weaving, rising, bow, digital, picking, bitten, tears, wounded, odd, greenness

I was wounded and tears in my eyes, I looked for you
In the forest the grass was still wet with dew

I heard a sound weaving through the greenness
“Is that you? Are you hurt? I cried in bleakness

Picking a bow and a bullet, my anxiety was rising
Not knowing what to do, my heart and soul aching

Where are you? Can you hear me? Odd feeling
I carried on even though I’m still bleeding

The silence had bitten deep than the horror
I tried to focus but everything was a blur

In the Rain

girl-and-rain-dark-1

She ran hastily down the rainy street
Hoping for him discretely meet
Her spirits high, her longings old
Not minding being out in the cold
To draw upon the power within
An array of spirits like a jinn
To go where no one has been
But then where will she begin?
One sad soul destined for gloom
If she can’t find her groom

Everything Changes

Daily Prompt – Walking down the street, you encounter a folded piece of paper on the sidewalk. You pick it up and read it and immediately, your life has changed. Describe this experience.

JesusLetter18001

Everything changes
When I saw that folded sheet
Some truths dawn on me
That life is short and make it count
Choose our priorities well

Be optimistic
That’s a good start for the change
And be lovable
Love’s all around us, take part
Life is superb, treat it well

#SoCS Dec. 5/15 – “miss”

F-14D_NAWC_Laser_Guided_Bomb_Test

Once again, a laser-guided bomb had missed its target and caused a lot of casualties. The plot thickens. The bombings, retaliations, war on ground and complicated ploys miss the point. We need some diplomatic solutions and hope that one day peace comes to us all.

Hi everyone, peace to all of us! It’s the weekend again and somehow I feel like I’m missing something. My friends decided to have a trip to Barcelona last week and I couldn’t come because of work. I totally missed out on that trip. Next time, guys! It’s been toxic at work. I nearly missed my bus the other day, missed hitting my target and missed meeting an important client – such a mishap!

One thing I won’t miss is Christmas shopping. I’ve been shopping early so I can miss the crowds. Mind you, there’s not a lot to buy, I hope I don’t miss friend D again, but anyway, he’s rich enough, he won’t miss a present. I miss my family and friends all over the world, and the ones who were no longer with us. I miss my Dad most of all.

Oh, by the way, if I have missed your blog out, having promised you a link, please drop me a line and I’ll sort it out. That’s it from me. Have a lovely week everyone!

A Furtive Affair

roger-bultot-2
PHOTO PROMPT © Roger Bultot

It was a clandestine affair and they agreed to meet on one of the private reserves for wildlife habitat. There was an unused shed which they could spend an afternoon of passion. They entered the shed but there was an unnerving atmosphere to it. It was dark and humid. She was frightened and hesitated to enter. Then, they stepped on something. She shouted. It was a body wrapped in a blanket. Someone must have left it there. They called the police and told them about the body. And since this meeting was supposed to be furtive, they made their separate ways.
