Share Your World – 2015 Week #49

What would be your ideal birthday present, and why?
It’s my birthday this week and I’m celebrating it with Him Indoors, that’s all I need – him! Actually, a day later we are flying to the UK to celebrate it with HRH the son and his beautiful K. A long weekend in the UK, how cool is that?

What colour would you like your bedroom to be?
I like the colour of our bedroom – maroon at the bottom and cream on top with a strip of wallpaper to divide the colours. I’ll stick with that.

Would you prefer snowy winters, or not, and why?
For Christmas, it’s got to be snowy and then no more after that. However, we tend to have long winters here and we get fed up of shovelling snows, so by February, we usually fly to the Philippines for a month.

Would you rather go a week without bathing, but be able to change your clothes, or a week without a change of clothes, but be able to bathe?
I can’t last a day without taking a shower, so I’d go for a week without a change of clothes.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
Last week has been rather warm for December, I’m very grateful for that.
This week coming up is the flight to the UK to see the son and K, Him Indoors’ parents and my brother with his children – sort of early Christmas celebration. And we’re meeting K’s parents to talk about the coming wedding.

Chez Costanzo – Challenge 2015 Week 9

Egon Bland parked his old Cadillac in front of the restaurant. This is his 60th restaurant. Normally, he goes to different factories or buildings. He travelled all over the country – on sandy beaches, in the city centres and in places where sometimes there were no electricity. This restaurant is a charming Italian one near the marina.

“Good morning, Mr. Bland, nice to see you again,” greeted Costanzo, the owner.

“Good morning, I hope you followed what I advised you to do from my last visit,” said Egon.

“Of course, we did, Mr. Bland. Come and see,” as Costanzo led Egon to the premises.

Egon inspected the area, ticked the ones he thought were an improvement from the last time he was here and let Costanzo signed the form informing him that the restaurant has passed the inspection and clear to carry on with the business.

Costanzo was pleased and invited Egon to have a meal on the house. “We just have this freshly caught fish and our chef can cook it to perfection, ” announced Costanzo proudly.

“Thanks, looking forward to it. As Pablo Picasso said, If only we could pull out our brain and use only our eyes. I have to add nose and mouth to that. Cheers, Costanzo!”
