Believe in Dreams

I never believe in dreams
They were just for kids, it seems
Like one of their childish games
But you came and I’m in flames
I’m still smiling with that beam

When I sleep, I dream of you
In the blue sky and you flew
Searching and calling my name
– Believe in dreams

Now I believe in daydreams
Hoping you are my mainstream
And my heart you have inflamed
Dream to be with you I claim
With preference, my eyes gleam
– Believe in dreams

Share Your World – 2016 Week 28

What is your earliest memory?
cute-baby-boy-newborn-pictures-newborn-baby-4

One of the earliest memories I had was the time when my sister was born. I was three, my big brother was four and we were waiting in the other room, my father was pacing up and down. Until we heard the midwife (my aunt) said: “it’s a girl!” We all rushed in the room, we saw some blood and the baby crying and my mom was on the floor. My aunt told us to “go away, we’re not ready yet.”

My sister was born
My brother and I waited
Then we heard her cry

What was the last photo you took with your phone?

We were walking in Berlin and we found this Filipino street food restaurant. We stopped to have our lunch. We had some spring rolls, sinigang soup and longganisa hamburger, followed by halo-halo. We had a good time.

Have you ever danced in the rain?

Most of the time, when I was young in the Philippines. It was warm rain and we always had fun playing and dancing in the rain.

What is the longest you have gone without sleep?

I really cannot remember. I love my sleep and I sleep well, so probably very seldom that I’ve stayed awake for a long time and not gone to sleep.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week was back to normal routine after our trip to Berlin.

In two weeks’ time, I’m off again and looking forward to it. Two weeks in the UK to visit my mother who’s still there with my brother after my son’s wedding in May. She’s flying back to the Philippines in August, so I thought I’ll visit her before she returns to the Philippines.

Then, three weeks in India for the son’s wedding with his beautiful bride, Indian version. We’ll be visiting relatives before the wedding. Then after the wedding, we’re going around with a bus, touring the south of India. Looking forward to it!

Have a lovely week everyone!

Drop – Limericks

There was once a man who thought he was strong
He carried that piano and starts his sing-song
Halfway there he dropped it
It was heavy he has to admit
Now all day long he just wears his sarong

One afternoon I find myself dropping sleep at my desk
Drooling into my keyboard, that was so grotesque
Was that because of the late night?
Or you picking up a fight?
Never again will I agree to go to a burlesque

Rain, rain go away, got enough of your drops
Got holes in our roof, tired of never ending mops
When will you ever stop?
Here I’m going to flop
I don’t mind going to a hot country for swaps

Writing 101, Day 3: Sleep

the kiss of the muse
and so inspiration comes
a slumbering thought
curdles long life in short time
pleasure, pain, faith, hope and love

To sleep, perchance to dream
Horses gallop across moonbeam
To dream, ah, that is so divine
Sailing across the river Rhine

Where all my thoughts meshed
And waking up feeling refreshed
Playing on each other in different fields
It’s as rough as a public park, the outfield

Wrestling with ideas, concepts, activities
Bees’ knees, cheese please, flees freeze
I dream that I was a butterfly, flickering
Blooming, blushing, breezing, breaming
Flapping wings smartly, enjoying its nectar

Taking its time, fluttering with pleasure
I am in a dream one morning in paradise
I can soar up high as the sun will rise
And I float and bring out a slow yawn
Though I fear never shall I see dawn?

What I Wear To Bed – 30 Day Blog Challenge

What do I wear to bed? my birthday suit? but when it’s cold, I wear my pyjamas or Him Indoors’ old t-shirts, they’re nice and long for me – perfect!

To sleep, perchance to dream
Horses gallop across moonbeam
To dream, ah, that is so divine
Sailing across the river Rhine
Where all her thoughts meshed
And waking up feeling refreshed
Playing on each other in different fields
It’s as rough as a public park, the outfield
Wrestling with ideas, concepts, activities
Bees’ knees, cheese please, flees freeze
She dreams that she was a butterfly, flickering
Blooming, blushing, breezing, breaming
Flapping wings smartly, enjoying its nectar
Taking its time, fluttering with pleasure
A girl in a dream one morning in paradise
She can soar up high as the sun will rise
And she floats and brings out a slow yawn
Though she fears never shall she see dawn?
