Carpe Diem #1038 snow

[…] “I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says, “Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.” […] Lewis Caroll

a snowy morning
black bird perch up the tree
waiting to get food

fresh snow falling
so pure and white all over
a bright day ahead

our shadow on the snow
some fresh woods in the fireplace
drinking warm mulled wine

winter this year
when snow covers our garden
buries our treasures

Carpe Diem Tokubetsudesu #84 Back In Time “Carpe Diem Full Circle”

One warm summer breeze
A princess sat on her own
Under a willow

Oasis of calm
As leaves of palm trees swaying
Camels stop to drink

Vista of cruise ship
With snow on the horizon
I see a rainbow

The yellow rapeseed
Offers them to the shrine
A whispered prayer

Snow, Birdhouse and Flowers

*three things that make me smile: an exercise in gratitude – feel free to steal this idea with wild abandon and fill your blog with the happy*

two days ago, there was snow in our garden! cold and “is winter back again?” sort of question, with our winter coats and boots back on, oh well…

so pleased with our birdhouses/feeder, very popular for birds. Nice to see birds flying and feeding. They were so fast for me to take photos.

the sun came out today – yay! lovely to sit in the garden and admire our spring flowers.

So, what made you smile this week?
