Heeding Haiku With Chèvrefeuille August 31 2016 colourful leaves

It has been a wonderful summer this year. The flowers bloomed, all varieties, birds built their nests, butterflies, bees and hedgehogs visited our garden and the pet tortoises were happy eating their lettuces and dandelions. We were able to cycle to different parks, watched the ducks and geese had their little ones growing. We were also able to swim in the lake, met friends and had barbeque in the garden.

departing summer
enough cycling and swimming
back to daily life

end of summer
getting cold at nights
leaves are turning red

goodbye summer
we’ll always remember you
come back next year

Tale Weaver #82: out my kitchen window

out-my-kitchen-window-as-web-save

Outside my kitchen window, birds singing
Dogs running, children cycling, people passing

Hear the baby bird cries for his food
Among the branches, doves cooed

Unfettered that he’s bigger than the mother
It doesn’t matter, as I hear my cat purr

Check our flowers and ferns, all thriving
A neighbour, all about her holiday babbling

I’ve just twisted some weeds off the plants
And harvested some tomatoes and eggplants

An old grill, for our family’s delight
Always handy, when the sun is bright

Still hoping summer is not finish yet
Make the most of it, without any fret

Outside my kitchen window, an old bench
Where the son used to study his French

Where I stop and think, train of thoughts
Dreaming of mangoes and kumquats

Reading and writing, pages and pages
Reminiscing the past and accepting changes

The Poetry of List-Making

Things I like this summer
The sea and the field azure
Cycling to the park and having ice-cream
Everyone happy and carefree like a dream
Flowers in bloom with birds, butterflies and bees
Walking in the fields, enjoying the summer breeze
Reading in the garden and watching him gardening
Working to have a good tan under the sun basking
Having some grills with different types of salads
And for Him Indoors, don’t forget some spuds
Travelling to the UK and India for the son’s wedding
Wishing them all the best and many years of loving
Spending some time with mother, brother and family
And of course, with my mother our shopping spree
Having a break from working, clients are on holiday, too
Having tea and cakes with friends and our coffee brew
Spending time with Him Indoors swimming, cycling, walking
Going to the cinema, eating out, staying in and a lot of bonding

Heeding Haiku With Chèvrefeuille August 17th 2016 … a summer tale

They met at the university. They were doing the same course. Two different people with different upbringing, culture, tradition and religion. They didn’t hinder them to fall in love with each other. And so after they finished their course and Masters, he proposed to her and she accepted. We all gave our blessings and weddings were planned, one in each country of origin. And we were all pleased to be part of these celebrations. May they spend many years of love and happiness together!

their first dance
they looked at each other’s eyes
loving each moment

to have and to hold
with Thaali, garlands and love
till death do they part
