Half-Light

I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud
by William Wordsworth

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o’er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

Carpe Diem Special #191 A Trip Along Memory Lane #2 Soliloquy no Renga

at the seashore
wind of summer through my hair
the shortest night

© Chèvrefeuille

water moved softly round my toes
sultry air caressing me

wispy clouds across
boats rise and fall in the lock
lazy hazy day

sea lay without a ripple
cupped my hands and drank water

drips falling from lips
ah, the sweet taste of heaven
cool and refreshing

rough winds shake the darling buds
more lovely and temperate

palm trees swaying
clouds scudding across the sky
heaven knows why

have picnics by the seabed
open sunlit grass, cloudless

splashing with the waves
friends waiting for the sunset
the joy of summer

light of the silvery moon
never ending stories

all through the night
singing and dancing with joy
tired and sleepy

birds flying as dawn breaks
memories on shortest night

Sunshine

scissors-1170232

Fear not, my sweet one
For it always come, the sun
Cut the vicious line before it spreads
The red threads and all the eggheads
Don’t crease the scheme, might be useful
If you don’t do it now, you won’t be able
The lure of the flood of stream coming
And then looking forward to spring
The fact is, we don’t have to follow any line
It’s up to us to have our own sunshine

Prompt Stomp- Week 11

holidays

Is there humour in love?
I just have to ask
Of course, there is
Otherwise, what else is there?
If we cannot laugh together
To the simple things we have
Then why take things seriously?
Laughter is the best medicine
Ask your doctor, he’ll verify
For when I first met you
You made me laugh
And I thought you’re so witty
They’re not slapstick jokes
They’re very clever and fun

Are there reasons in love?
What kind of reasons?
Of why we love each other?
That’s always a mystery
Like two opposite poles
They attract each other
Two different cultures
Different races & likes
Different hobbies
They don’t matter much
Two hearts, one soul
That’s the important thing

I love you for all these
The flowers you plant for me
The meal you cook for me
The places we see together
The experiences we share
The little fights, the make-ups
The arguments, the debates
You’re keeping me on my toes
Of what is important in life
In sickness – we’ve got that
We looked after each other
Even when the other one is miserable
We carried on looking after each one
